Students at San Jose middle school told not to gather in groups SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) – A new rule is in place for students at one San Jose middle school. They can no longer gather in groups of four people or more. The school says this is a temporary measure.  At Muwekma Ohlone Middle School in San Jose, school leaders say they are trying to do a reset after responding to a few incidents of behavioral disruptions. One parent tells KRON4 there was a fight among students. San Jose hit-and-run crash victim remembered by son “They had a few days where they felt students were not collectively meeting the expectation, so they hit pause and are doing a reset and trying to get things back into their normal operations,” said Jennifer Maddox, Director of Communications for the San Jose Unified School District. Maddox explained the new temporary rule the principal put in place. Alameda County firefighters push to speed up ambulance drop-offs (KRON) – Emergency responders in Alameda County say ambulances are stuck at hospitals trying to drop off patients. In some cases, they are even waiting an hour.Sean Burrows, the president of the firefighters union, the long wait times are creating downstream effects. He says this is not a new problem, but a bill moving through the state capitol right now would make the statewide standard 20 minutes. “We are seeing elongated wait times when an ambulance arrives to the back door of a hospital before a patient’s care is transferred to that hospital staff – we’re seeing times of 45, 60, 90 minutes,” he said. San Jose hit-and-run crash victim remembered by son SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) – KRON4 spoke with the son of a South Bay woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Jose. The crash happened Sunday evening while the woman was walking with her daughter and dog in a crosswalk.
