She will now be on probation for one year.Dowell is also required to do 30 hours of community service, write an apology letter to the officer and pay the city back for the cost to clean up the graffiti.Solve It 7: Grave Concern

CHELMSFORD — As Chelmsford asserts itself as a true Division 1 baseball contender, it continues to pile up statement wins.Matthew Hall hit a walkoff RBI single as Chelmsford overcame an early 2-0 run deficit and defeated Central Catholic, 3-2, on Wednesday afternoon at Ayotte Field. The win gives the Lions (9-2, 7-2) notable victories over North Andover, St. John’s Prep, BC High and Central.“I am very happy with the way we competed and the grit we showed,” Chelmsford coach Lou Distasi said. “It was symbolic of the way our starting pitcher today Caleb Stuart has fought back from injury over the last year.”Stuart went six innings, allowing just the two runs on four hits to go with eight strikeouts.Central Catholic (8-2) led 2-0 midway through and seemed to be in good position with Frankie Melendez keeping the Lions hitless to go with six strikeouts.Chelmsford, however, came crawling back in the fourth as a misplayed fly ball and two singles loaded the bases with one out. There was a notion that because the 76ers stole Monday’s Game 1 without him, that they would give Joel Embiid some extra rest to recover from his injury and not rush him back for Game 2, knowing they had some margin for error after already taking home-court advantage from the Celtics. That idea ultimately didn’t hold water. Embiid – who was named the NBA MVP on Tuesday night – returned for Wednesday night’s Game 2. It came as somewhat of a surprise. Embiid, who suffered a sprained LCL in his right knee during Game 3 of the Sixers’ first-round sweep of the Nets, had not even resumed running as of Monday, according to coach Doc Rivers. The center was listed as doubtful on Tuesday. But even with a 1-0 series lead in hand, Embiid was back.“It’s logical thinking,” Rivers said of the idea of giving him some extra rest. “But players, when they’re healthy, they should play. And when they’re not, they shouldn’t play. That would be my answer. So I can guarantee you if Joel’s p...Grab your umbrella, rain is rolling back into San Diego
